2 months!

James smiling today!
That was James the day I had to go back to work last week- he just melts me!

It is soooo hard to believe that my little nugget is 2 months old!! He keeps changing and he is ssssoooo adorable I don't know what to do with myself! He went to the pediatrician today and he is 14.68 lbs and 25 in long- big boy! Of course, he was never tiny to begin with so that takes care of that. He also got his first set of shots today and so far so good but I have been giving him Tylenol every 4 hours just in case- it can't hurt and it might be what is keeping him so pleasant. We went to the mall today and picked up our Christmas pictures and they turned out super duper cute!! :)
Also, the other night James managed to get the pacifier in his crib, into his mouth, and he slept and extra hour and half or so until about 8 am- I like his new talent. :)
Anyway, we are super excited about Christmas and I am happy James is here to celebrate with us!

Smiles :)

Well the good news is that I made it through my first day of work on Tuesday but now I have a three day stretch ahead of me and I am going to be so exhausted on top of missing James! Oh well c'est la vie.
New with James in the past few days is that he is starting to laugh and smile when he recognizes Chuck and I and it is sooo cute! We gave him a bath last night and after it was over he was cooing and talking and laughing and it was the cutest thing ever! :) Also he slept 7 and 1/2 hours STRAIGHT last night WOO HOO! I hope he does it again tonight because that just might be the best Christmas present. Other than that, he is growing and changing more and more everyday and I just can't believe it! People talk about how fast things go and they say "this time next year....." which is nice and all but I am trying to focus on him right now, and not what he will or will not be in one year, because he will be a million times different.
James, Chuck, and I got family Christmas pictures today. :) They are cute and I love getting them done!

Little Things

So tonight I really needed a shower, and Chuck was at work closing, and James was not willing to take a nap long enough...soo.... I laid him in his crib and then I took these pictures because he was soooo cute!!! I turned his mobile on that has little animals and spins and plays a lullaby since I figured by now he might be able to see them and he totally could! He kept staring and smiling, and he even laughed a few times while it was playing. It would stop and whenever I would turn it on again he would start smiling again! It made me tear up cause he is just getting so big and I'm so scared if I'm not attentive enough I just might miss something. His smiles melt my heart, how can you not love that?
However, that was his best 15min because for the rest of the evening he proceeded to be SUPER fussy, so much so that I even took his temp thinking that would be it but thankfully it wasn't. I'm going to assume it was gas since that seems to cause us the most trouble. I might bring that up when we go for our 2 month check up.
Also, I go back to work in 4 days. :( Sad Day.

Sweetness

James is officially turning into a baby and not just a newborn! He is more alert, he 'talks' more, and I've even gotten a few smiles from him recently. He is getting cuter and cuter every day- who would have thought that was possible?? I go back to work in a week and it makes me sad, its going to be nice to get away for a bit but I know that half way through my shift I am going to want to go home and scoop up the baby and cuddle with him. Other than that nothing much going on here!

Fa la la....

Sorry about my leg in the way but that was James' Thanksgiving outfit! He's ready for turkey!
Yay for being clean- this was before Thanksgiving but I thought I'd throw it in just cause.
Family photo :)
James and daddy on Thanksgiving! How sweet! :)

Thanksgiving was a BLAST! It was kinda exhausting cooking but I had a blast and it was really nice having Chuck home and my family here. James got loved on by his grandparents, my parents, and I think he enjoyed it; not that he doesn't get lots of love in general- he just got an extra helping. The past few days he's been fussy but today he's been good, just eating and sleeping so we'll see how he does.
James has ended up with baby acne, which is normal for babies, but I'm trying to get rid of it. One of the nurses I worked with in the peds ER said to use Johnson's Baby Shampoo and a soft baby brush and rub his face with it. I did it last night and it seems to have gotten a bit better so lets hope thats the cure! I think I make it worse but putting chapstick on and then kissing him but I can't help it! I can't stand having chapped lips but then again I couldn't go without kissing his chubby cheeks for awhile so... we'll see.
And of course he is awake from his nap and is HUNGRY! It's dinner time so off I go...

HAPPY THANSGIVING TO ALL!

Spitting Up and Burping

So its the week of Thanksgiving and I am soo excited! My parents are coming down andwe're doing it at my house and it will be James' first real holiday :) I have some cute bibs for him I'll have to remember to use!
On another note, James is normally a pretty laid back baby, he gets that from his daddy. However, he is HORRIBLE to burp! He gets gassy, then fussy, and in the end he pukes if he is too full and has too much gas, and its awful! Chuck and I try EVERYTHING to get him to burp, and sometimes we think he's ok but really there's more left. I've been puked on one to many times for my liking and I'm hoping we can work out this kink soon. As Chuck would say- he's a loaded weapon... and he really is! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
